AFFECTED SERVICES:
Most university online services, including but not limited to:
Blackboard Learn
VMware Horizon View (VDI)
Oracle E-Business Suite & related apps
PeopleSoft SIS, My OHIO Student Center & related apps
IMPACT
Single interruption of at least 30 minutes some time during this window
PURPOSE
Repair core networking equipment as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate an issue that caused intermittent interruptions for Pharos printing in locations like Alden Library as well as for virtual desktop sessions.
As part of this work, the network will be set back to its configuration when the problems were happening in February.
Once the work has been completed, there is the possibility that issues similar to those that happened in February may return. We apologize for the inconvenience: this repair cannot be tested 'offline,' and we will not know if it has eliminated the problem until it has been applied.
