How does this affect me?
Maintenance is planned outside of normal business hours to help minimize any impact to your organization. As part of this maintenance work the Power BI service may be unavailable for a short period of time (10 to 30 Minutes). During this time users may be unable to access the Power BI service and background operations may not complete successfully. After the maintenance window, to refresh cached DNS values, all users will have to restart open browsers, mobile app users will need to verify they are using the latest version of the app, sign out and sign back in, Tenants with firewall rules referencing the Power BI service by IP address will need to reference the following new IP addresses:"22.214.171.124", "126.96.36.199". Once maintenance is complete and required actions are taken we expect the service to operate normally.
For organizations with users around the globe, we recognize that "outside of normal business hours" might affect you differently. We apologize for the impact this may have on your users. We are working hard to improve Power BI, to minimize these maintenance windows.
What action do I need to take?
After maintenance is complete all users should restart open browser windows, Power BI Mobile app users will need to verify they are using the most recent app, sign out and sign back in to the app. Firewall rules referencing calls from Power BI should be updated to allow the following IP addresses: "188.8.131.52", "184.108.40.206". No action is required by you prior to or during the maintenance window.
