This outage will provide an opportunity to perform necessary preventative maintenance and tie-in projects taking place at the Old Heating Plant switchgear. These activities reduce the likelihood of an unplanned service interruption and enable FM to more quickly and safely respond in the event of an unplanned outage. The outage has been scheduled during non-business hours to minimize impact to the Ohio University community.

This will impact all buildings on the Athens campus except the following:

Resolved - Update: HTML Editor Restored & Changes to HTML Handling in Canvas

Access to the HTML Editor has been restored, and this incident is now resolved. Canvas has provided updated guidance on HTML usage, outlined below:

Stricter HTML filtering: Canvas now automatically removes unsupported HTML attributes when saving pages (especially within and tags). This helps improve compatibility and security.

Verify embedded content: After editing or saving a page, please review any embedded media or objects (such as videos, external tools, or interactive content) to ensure they continue to display and function as expected, since unsupported code may have been removed.

Potential save issues with older content: Pages containing outdated or malformed HTML may fail to save. If you encounter this, open the HTML editor, remove any non-standard code, and save again.

If you experience issues with the HTML editor or notice embedded content not working correctly, please contact Canvas Support for assistance.
