Scheduled - Database Shutdown Prior to Server Decommission Monday, June 16, 2025 - 7:00 AM - Friday, June 20, 2025 - 11:59 PM
A database server is scheduled to be decommissioned soon. Before that happens, we plan to shut down the databases on this server for approximately one week. This temporary shutdown will help us confirm that no one is actively using these databases.
Please note: All known active databases have already been moved to a new server. The databases listed below are still on the old server and are scheduled to be removed along with it unless we hear otherwise.
If you are currently using any of these databases or believe they should not be removed, please contact the service desk as soon as possible at https://www.ohio.edu/oit/tech-ready/getting-help.

WiFi Network (guest) is nearing an expired certificate that must be renewed every year. This year’s update will happen on 6/18/2025 @10pm. During the cert renewal if a customer tries to log into the guest network you may not get the captive portal. This cert process will take 15 minutes.
During the maintenance window, you will still have access to WiFi Network (eduroam).

WiFi Internet Monday, June 23, 2025 - 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM
The eduroam WiFi network will undergo a routine security certificate renewal on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 10:00 PM. After this update, you may be prompted to accept a new certificate when reconnecting. If prompted, simply accept the certificate from securelogin.net.oit.ohio.edu.
WiFi access will remain available during the maintenance window, but all devices using eduroam may need to accept the new certificate when attempting to connect after the update.

During the maintenance, Blackboard will receive an authentication change. After the change is made, the login process for Blackboard will be modified.
