An update to Proctortrack, the university's enterprise remote proctoring application, will occur during the 6PM to midnight maintenance window on December 18, 2025. This update is required by the vendor in order to keep pace with the latest security and feature releases. While the change should not require an outage, students will need to download the new version of the Proctortrack application following the update and may notice a difference in the testing experience. Users should reference the Proctortrack self-help materials at https://help.ohio.edu or contact Proctortrack support at https://proctortrack.com/support if assistance is needed.

Our remote proctoring provider, Verificient, is retiring our current version of Proctortrack in Q1 2026, so we need to upgrade to the latest version (ET 2.0) in order to keep up with patching, security, and feature updates.
The technical work will be completed by the vendor during the 6PM to midnight EST Thursday maintenance window. We do not expect an outage. Users can continue to use the current version up through the update and once the vendor makes the change, subsequent users will be prompted to download the new version.
