REDcap has experienced a critical security vulnerability which required immediate action to isolate the application from the wide web. This has led to serious loss of functionality for end users and we were unable to update the product on its current environment.

We have created a new Test and Production server for this work to test the migration plan, and Test has been successfully migrated, upgraded, and tested by end users to verify functionality. We have stood a production server up side by side and re-tested the migration an additional time and that has officially been approved.

The migration is expected to occur from 8am-3pm on 3/12, which will require a full outage of service. This is expected and has been approved by management and our partners who use the software due to the nature of the work, to ensure full availability of all supporting teams, and that the service is already operating in a degraded state.

There is a Transact upgrade scheduled for March 9th.

The Transact system will be taken offline on Monday, March 9th at 1:00 PM, and remain offline until end of business.

During the upgrade, customers will not be able to pay using these Transact tenders: Bobcat Cash, Flex Points, Meal Plans, and Guest / Departmental Print Cards on Culinary, Airport, and Atrium Cafe Point Of Sale registers, on OHIO EATS mobile ordering, or on printers.

This will also result in public print program (pay to print only) and eAccounts outages for the duration of the upgrade process, both on the web and mobile platforms.

Access Control will not be able to make any changes to door access settings during the upgrade. The doors will continue to operate on their last known schedule and access list. Please ensure that you request any needed changes to Access Control by no later than 3:00pm Friday March 6th to ensure doors have the most updated schedules access plans during the upgrade period.

Additionally, Bobcat Depot and all regional ID card production sites will be unable to produce new or replacement OHIO ID cards during the upgrade and should refrain from launching Instant ID during the upgrade process.

Finally, the Transact TS Main Prod shortcut via VMware Horizon Client (VDI) and web reporting site (TS Reports) should not be used during the upgrade.

This upgrade will not affect Cloud Point of Sale (CPOS) or Mobile Ordering credit card sales.
