These activities reduce the likelihood of an unplanned service interruption and enable Facilities Management to more quickly and safely respond in the event of an unplanned outage. Canvas is available to OHIO users. OIT is monitoring its status following maintenance performed by the vendor. Please report anything unusual to the IT Help Desk via servicedesk@ohio.edu or 740.593.1222.
Beta and test environments for Canvas remain unavailable and under maintenance by the vendor. These are separate from the production environment, which is the primary Canvas space used by OHIO faculty, staff, and students.

Update: HTML Editor Restored & Changes to HTML Handling in Canvas
Access to the HTML Editor has been restored, and this incident is now resolved. Canvas has provided updated guidance on HTML usage, outlined below:
Stricter HTML filtering: Canvas now automatically removes unsupported HTML attributes when saving pages (especially within and tags). This helps improve compatibility and security.
Verify embedded content: After editing or saving a page, please review any embedded media or objects (such as videos, external tools, or interactive content) to ensure they continue to display and function as expected, since unsupported code may have been removed.
Potential save issues with older content: Pages containing outdated or malformed HTML may fail to save. If you encounter this, open the HTML editor, remove any non-standard code, and save again.
If you experience issues with the HTML editor or notice embedded content not working correctly, please contact Canvas Support for assistance.

After logging in to VMware Horizon, when the user launches a pool or application, it should normally proceed to authentication and automatically log in.
